GREATER VANCOUVER CHAMBER UNVEILS SPEND IT LOCAL, FORMERLY KNOWN AS GROW THE 360 EGIFT CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

The Chamber introduces a fresh identity for its eGift Certificate program, featuring a new name and logo, reaffirming its dedication to supporting local businesses.

Vancouver, WAIn a strategic move to foster a more inclusive and expansive local economy, the Greater Vancouver Chamber (GVC) proudly announces the rebranding of its acclaimed Grow the 360 eGift Certificate program to SPEND IT LOCAL. Over the past three years, the program has experienced remarkable growth and success, prompting the Chamber to undergo a significant rebranding initiative.

"At the Chamber, we believe in the power of local commerce. The rebranding to SPEND IT LOCAL reflects our commitment to going beyond the 360-area code, creating a more inclusive eGift Certificate Program for our community," said Janet Kenefsky, Vice President of Membership and Operations for the Chamber.

The SPEND IT LOCAL program is centered on the idea of keeping dollars circulating within the local economy, supporting businesses, and fostering sustainable economic growth. Accompanying the rebrand is a fresh new logo, featuring a star as a symbol of hope and positivity, guiding the way to southwest Washington. The color palette, inspired by the Pacific Northwest landscape, underscores financial prosperity.

Kenefsky emphasized, “Our commitment with this 'exclusive to local businesses' eGift certificate program is simple: it's 'Good for you, great for business”.

While the appearance has changed, the gifting program's core remains the same. Visitors to the Chamber's website can continue to purchase certificates in value increments from $5 to $100 at VancouverUSA.com/Support-Local/Spend-it-Local/, which can be used at any participating merchant's location, with no expiration date. If individuals have a Grow the 360 gift certificate waiting to be redeemed, they can rest assured as the gift certificates can still be redeemed. Recipients simply need to check the list of participating merchants on the website and enjoy a local shopping, dining or spa experience.

"It's a wonderful way to support local businesses while offering a thoughtful gift to a loved one. These gift certificates act like cash when redeemed at participating establishments, giving recipients the flexibility to choose from over 70 local retailers, service providers, coffee shops, restaurants, and more," explained Kenefsky, who noted that the program sees steady purchases and redemptions daily.

The SPEND IT LOCAL program ensures that participating businesses receive 100 percent of the face value of the currency, injecting sustainable cash profits into their operations. And the best part? It's completely free for merchants! Plus, it's incredibly convenient as there's no need for extra POS systems or equipment.
