Senior Accountant

We are hiring a full-time Senior Accountant to work a Hybrid schedule with the opportunity to work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays. This position is at our corporate headquarters in downtown Vancouver, WA just 5 minutes from the I-5 bridge!

SALARY RANGE: $73,535 - $110,240 DOE
The Senior Accountant is an integral member of the UGC financial accounting team. This position is responsible for the monthly reconciliation of various general ledger accounts including but not limited to; cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaids, fixed assets, notes receivable, debt and equity reconciliations. In addition, the Senior Accountant position will be involved in commodity mark-to-market accounting, working with various departments within the company. Strong Internal Control understanding, and recommendations are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred but equivalent work experience and education will be considered.
- Preferred six years of progressively responsible experience and solid foundation of GAAP Accounting principles. Grain accounting experience or Agriculture industry experience preferred.
- Proven and effective interpersonal skills; must support a team-oriented approach within the department as well as for the Company.
- Independent, self-starter with the ability to multi-task with high attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft suite of products and various ERP systems.
- Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills and can proficiently prioritize daily job duties and deadlines independently.
- A good listener and strong written and verbal communication. Providing clear, concise, and timely communication with all internal and external customers.
- Possesses adept analytical abilities and problem-solving techniques.
- Expressing or exchanging ideas in English by means of the spoken word to impart verbal information to customers, public, and convey detailed spoken instructions to others accurately.
