Washington Business Leaders Gather in Vancouver for AWB Spring Summit

Last week, nearly 200 business leaders from across Washington gathered in downtown Vancouver for the Association of Washington Business’s 2026 Spring Summit. The event featured discussions on the state’s new income tax, a legislative recap from AWB’s government affairs team, an elections preview, perspectives from retiring lawmakers, and more. 

One message resonated throughout the event: Washington must renew its focus on economic growth, business competitiveness, and long-term prosperity.

GVC President & CEO John McDonagh had the honor of moderating the “Straight Talk from the Capitol: A Legislator Q&A Session,” featuring Sen. Matt Boehnke, Sen. Judy Warnick, Rep. Larry Springer, and Rep. Suzanne Schmidt.
