Vancouver, WA: Northwest Personal Training opened their fitness and training business in January 2000 with hopes of making Vancouver WA a little healthier. When McMillan opened the studio 26 years ago, it was the first of its kind in the Northwest.
“As a Personal Training studio, we differentiate ourselves from a typical fitness gym because we focus on a more high-end, customer service oriented, boutique-style experience.” says Sherri McMillan, owner. “Our specialty is personalized strength and fitness workouts led by world-class, award-winning trainers. We provide the type of accountability that most people need to help them stick to a program long enough to experience great results. Our process, that has transformed lives for 26 years, starts by conducting an analysis to review a clients’ posture, and their muscular weaknesses and imbalances” says McMillan. She adds, “We are celebrating 26 years of fitness, friendships and fun. Our studio feels more like a fitness family where lasting friendships have formed as a result of people meeting at the studio! In fact, we’ve even been responsible for a few marriages! We have worked hard to create an environment that is motivating, uplifting, non-intimidating and welcoming. A home away from home. Programming is cutting-edge, well-balanced and safe. Our team of trainers are the best in the industry winning numerous awards – when it comes to your health, you definitely want to work with the best!”
So how does a Personal Training studio celebrate 26 years?
It makes sense that NW Personal Training is celebrating with workouts. Sessions all week will host a ‘26th’ theme with 26 rep sets, 26 second intervals and 26 minute workouts. Clients can also bring friends and family in for free all week to celebrate the festivities. On Saturday January 24th from 7-10pm, NWPT will celebrate in grand style at the AC Mariott on the Vancouver Waterfront. “We are excited to get out of our workout gear, dress up with Disco as the theme, dance, mingle and celebrate. Twenty-six years is a big deal. That’s a lot of lives changed!” says McMillan.
Northwest Personal Training currently offers their services at their studio in downtown Vancouver. They specialize in Private Training with many of their clients requiring customized programming due to medical or health limitations
NW Personal Training has been voted #1 Fitness & Training studio for decades receiving the Columbian’s Best of Clark County, the Vancouver Business Journal Best in Business, the Business Bureau’s Business of the Year for their customer service initiatives and the Chamber of Commerce Community Builder Award for their community support. McMillan has also been acknowledged within the fitness industry winning the International Fitness Presenter of the Year, the IDEA International Program Director of the Year, the Canadian Fitness Presenter of the Year and the Inaugural IDEA International Personal Trainer of the Year.
“All these awards and recognitions just prove that we take what we do very seriously and we’re adding value to our clients’ lives. We aren’t happy until our clients are experiencing life-changing transformations! That’s what’s most important to us!” says McMillan. She continues “You won’t find another training organization anywhere in the world with our credentials. We have multiple trainers on our team who are authors, fitness presenters, and award winners. When we say we are a world-class training studio that hosts the World’s best trainers, it’s a fact!”
What’s next for Northwest Personal Training? McMillan says “Our number one goal is to help our clients achieve their personal best and optimal health. In addition, we have been working closely with many local businesses to provide Workplace Wellness to their employees. We offer health talks, workplace workouts and fitness challenges for employees to help increase energy, decrease stress, improve productivity and reduce sickness and healthcare costs. It’s a great way for a company to show their employees they care about them. Other than that, we look forward to many more decades of health and fitness in Vancouver WA!”
