Main Street Vancouver Lights Up Downtown

A brighter, more vibrant Main Street is taking shape in downtown Vancouver!

Downtown Vancouver is getting a bright new look as crews recently completed the installation of 30 strands of overhead festival lights spanning 10 blocks of Main Street.

With 600 bulbs in total, the new lights add a festive touch to the heart of downtown and can change colors to celebrate holidays, special occasions, and community events throughout the year.

The lighting installation is another exciting milestone for the Main Street Promise infrastructure project, which is nearing completion. The project represents one of the largest investments in downtown Vancouver and is helping create a more vibrant, welcoming, and engaging experience for residents, visitors, and local businesses.

The new overhead lights will bring even more energy to Main Street, creating an inviting atmosphere for people to enjoy downtown Vancouver—whether they’re shopping at local businesses, grabbing a bite to eat, attending an event, or simply exploring the area.
