Lightly Spiced Gallery Opens, Bringing a New Home for Photography to Vancouver

A new downtown gallery is inviting the community to slow down, look closer, and experience photography as an art form.

Lightly Spiced Gallery is officially open, bringing a fresh and distinctive addition to Vancouver’s growing downtown arts scene.

Specializing in abstract and nature photography, Lightly Spiced Gallery features limited-edition, luxurious and elegant prints created for modern art collectors around the world. But for owner Abhisar Gupta, the new space is about much more than displaying beautiful images.

Abhisar, who also serves as Vice Chair on Artstra’s Board of Directors, envisioned Lightly Spiced Gallery as a warm, welcoming home dedicated to the art and craft of photography. His goal is to help bridge a gap in the local arts community by creating a space where photography can be experienced beyond the fast-paced, digital world we interact with every day.

At Lightly Spiced Gallery, the focus is on the craft, intention, and story behind every image - encouraging visitors to take a moment to connect with the work and appreciate the artistry behind the photograph.

And the vision for the gallery doesn't stop with its current collection. Future plans include a dedicated photography studio, community-focused workshops featuring hands-on experiences such as soap bubble photography, and eventually a small darkroom for local film photographers.

These planned offerings will create opportunities for artists, photographers, collectors, and community members to come together, learn, experiment, and celebrate the many ways photography can tell a story.

The Greater Vancouver Chamber was honored to celebrate the opening of this beautiful new downtown space alongside Abhisar and members of our community. We’re excited to see Lightly Spiced Gallery become a gathering place for photography enthusiasts, artists, collectors, and anyone who appreciates the power of a thoughtfully created image.
