Inside the 2026 Legislative Session: Key Insights for Southwest Washington

Presented by Kaiser Permanente, this year’s Legislative Review brought together more than 300 business and community leaders for timely insights, meaningful dialogue, and direct engagement with our region’s legislators.

Eleven elected officials representing Legislative Districts 17, 18, 20, and 49 shared firsthand recaps of the session, highlighting how they advanced priorities for the business community and what lies ahead for Southwest Washington.

Key topics included the proposed “Millionaires’ Tax” (SB 6346), Business & Occupation (B&O) tax, workforce development and education, child care, economic growth, public safety, and infrastructure.
