Inside HP’s Innovation Hub in Vancouver

Manufacturing in Southwest Washington is about more than production lines. It’s also about innovation, technology, research and the people developing what comes next.

Last Friday, the Greater Vancouver Chamber (GVC) team had the opportunity to see that innovation firsthand during the Association of Washington Business (AWB) Manufacturing Week bus tour, which highlights manufacturers and educational facilities across Washington.

As the tour made its way through Clark County, we joined AWB for a visit to HP Inc., which has been part of the Clark County community since 1979.

A Look Inside HP’s Vancouver Campus

Earlier this year, HP opened a 225,000-square-foot mass timber facility, marking the first building on the company’s new 98-acre Vancouver campus.

During our visit, we toured HP’s research and development center, where teams work on new product development and small-scale 3D printing. The Vancouver campus is also home to much of HP’s print and software leadership, underscoring the important role the local site plays in the company’s global operations.

The tour offered a behind-the-scenes look at how research, engineering and technology come together to drive innovation — right here in Clark County.

Celebrating Manufacturing and Innovation in Clark County

The AWB Manufacturing Week bus tour provides an opportunity to learn more about the manufacturers, educators and innovators contributing to Washington’s economy and workforce.

For GVC, visits like this are a valuable reminder of the depth of talent, technology and innovation within our own business community. From advanced manufacturing and 3D printing to research and product development, Clark County continues to be home to organizations doing work that reaches far beyond our region.

We’re grateful to AWB and HP for welcoming us and giving our team a closer look at the people and technology behind HP’s Vancouver operations.
