For the Love of Humanity: Why Heidi Johnson Bixby Gives to the Arts

There are some people in our community who are completely behind the scenes of making creativity happen. We don't really see them, but without them, so much of what we experience in our cultural community, so much art, so many events, just wouldn't be possible. These are the people who give their time, talent, or treasure, and sometimes all three.

They're the board members, the volunteers. They're the sponsors. They're the philanthropists. Heidi Johnson-Bixby is one of these people. For the love of her community, Heidi and her financial planning and portfolio management firm, Johnson Bixby, are known as some of the most important and most beloved sponsors of arts and culture in Vancouver and Southwest Washington.

“I think that thriving communities aren't just built on infrastructure and economics. They're built on creativity. They're built on connection. And so for people to have access to that arts and culture, they're more engaged, they're more resilient, and they're more connected." - Heidi Johnson Bixby

Heidi buys art everywhere she can, has eclectic taste based on both aesthetics and story, inspires so many people with means to give back, and really, truly loves this place and the people in it.

In a new episode of the I'm Into This Place podcast, Heidi shares why she’s passionate about supporting arts and culture in Southwest Washington and how that commitment reflects Johnson Bixby’s broader mission of helping people build meaningful lives through financial confidence.
