Women in Leadership Lecture (WILL) Series - Held the Fourth Tuesday – Quarterly
The GVCC's Women in Leadership Lecture (WILL) series takes place over a world class afternoon tea and examines female leadership in Clark County and beyond, as we work to cultivate a community of women committed to excellence, collaboration, and tenacity. The Women in Leadership Lectures (WILL) feature two speakers per event that will touch on seven focus points: upbringing, education, adversity, career, mentors, passion, and life balance. The WILL series is hosted by Lee Rafferty, the former VDA Executive Director and emceed by Lisa Schauer of PointNorth. Sponsorship fees range from $1,000 to $5,000
Fall and Spring Small Business Workshop Series – Held Tuesdays and Thursdays of the Month
The GVCC hosts a month-long workshop series in the spring and fall of each year. The series focus on a topics like business law, social media, marketing, and Google. These workshop series are designed for small businesses and are met with overwhelming success, most month-long series (eight sessions) sell out of all access passes. Workshops feature member experts and instructors from WSU-Vancouver, Clark College and regional business leaders. The workshops are one hour with lunch provided on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Posted survey results provide feedback from the attendees speaking to the quality of instructors and content. Sponsorships range from $1,500 to $5,000
Annual Golf Tournament – Held in June
The annual golf tournament is the GVCC’s biggest summer event, held at Lewis River Golf Course and features 18-holes of golf in a scramble format, interactive games and tee displays, contests, raffle, continental breakfast, awards lunch and more. The tournament is held each June and sells out. Sponsorship fees range from $300 to $6,000.
Women’s Golf Tournament – Held in August
Our 4th Annual Women’s Golf Tournament is an event for Women , held at Camas Meadows Golf Course and features 9-holes of golf in a scramble format, interactive games and tee displays, contests, raffle, continental breakfast, awards lunch, prizes and more. Sponsorship fees range from $300 to $5,000.
Annual Dinner, Installation and Business & Leadership Awards Event – Held in September/October
GVCC’s Annual Dinner, Installation of Officers and Business Leadership Awards. This is an excellent opportunity to brand your company through a wide range of media advertising. This high profile event features hundreds of the “who’s who” in our business community. Sponsorships range from $1,000 to $5,000.
Small Business Saturday Grant Program – Held the Saturday after Thanksgiving
The GVCC’s Small Business Saturday Grant Program has grown immensely since its creation in 2013. It once focused on the promotion of Small Business Saturday (Sat after Thanksgiving), but has grown into a month-long promotional campaign for small businesses with over 130 participating businesses. In 2017, we upped the stakes by providing a $2,000 small business grant to the winner of our social media hashtag contest. In 2018, during the Annual Dinner's Dessert Dash, $6,000 in Grant Funds were awarded to three different winners. The contest amped up small business noise to launch the shop local message during the start of the Holiday shopping season. Each member receives (at no cost) support collateral (digital, print, advertising, onsite materials). Sponsorship is $5,000.
Chamber Ambassador Holiday Heroes Luncheon – Held in December
Every year the GVCC sells out this popular signature event, held on the first Friday in December. We honor our GVCC “red coat” Ambassador Team, as well as highlight a community champion (a nonprofit with the focus of civil service). This is also a time for holiday cheer as the event features live entertainment and over 50 holiday gift baskets are raffled off to the sold-out crowd. We have the option of VIP tables and many members double this event as their holiday office party. This long standing chamber luncheon has been a way to honor our Ambassadors and community volunteers and is a great event to kick off your holiday season. (Sells Out) Sponsorships range from $700 to $5,000.
Legislative Outlook Breakfast – Held in December
The Legislative Outlook Breakfast in December is the only opportunity where our lawmakers come together to focus on the issues that impact Southwest Washington Businesses. The event is hosted by the GVCC, CREDC, and ICC as we present our "Business Community Priorities" document to showcase our legislative agenda in the areas of: Infrastructure, Education & Workforce, Economic Development, and Environmental.
Washington State politicians answer questions in a panel format. CREDC, GVCC and ICC present their business priorities for the coming year. Sponsorship fees range from $800 to $3,500.
Legislative Review Luncheon – Held in May
The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce and BIG (Building Industry Group) of Clark County are the hosts for the Legislative Review Luncheon to include legislators from the 14th, 17th, 18th, 20th and 49th Districts. Washington State politicians answer questions in a panel format to discuss their accomplishments during the session. This event brings business-focused legislative updates and industry connectivity. Sponsorship fees range from $750 to $3,000.
Ready, Set, Go! Wellness Workshop Series, Wellness Blueprint, and Wellness Quizzes
The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Clark County Public Health, VBJ Healthies Companies, Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center and our member helps host a multi-layer Employee Ready, Set, Go Wellness program. There will be a number of opportunities for worksite wellness focused members, community partners and sponsors. The three products are: monthly wellness workshops, a packet of wellness quizzes, and a wellness blueprint as a starter guide to create a worksite wellness program. Sponsorship fees range from $1,000 to $5,000.
The GVCC's stemCONNECT program introduces students (grades 6-12) to high-demand career pathways in Clark County, Washington with structured onsite visits. We spark our student's personal interest and connect them to businesses and industries that are thriving and in need of a skilled future workforce. The GVCC has partnered with the SW WA STEM Network, DIY Marketing and nConnect to create stemCONNECT, which is sponsored by Banfield Pet Hospital and SEH America. The stemCONNECT program launched in 2017 with our first onsite visit taking place at Webfor, a digital marketing technology company in the heart of the City of Vancouver's Digital Technology Innovative Partnerships Zone (IPZ) - a fast growing segment of our digital technology cluster. The techCONNECT series supports students in reaching their academic potential and connecting their classroom lessons with real-world experiences. Sponsorship fees range from $1,500 to $7,500.
Mega Business After Hours – Twice annual in March and October (preferably)
Coax business leaders out of their offices to have fun and NOT talk business. This is a High profile community event held in a creative location with great food/drink/entertainment.
Imagine an event dedicated to your specific industry. A place where you can meet your partners, competitors, vendors, clients, and your state legislators and government representatives from the City and County. Industries Quarterly is an event designed to build your network within your own industry so you can better tackle the issues that affect your business. Sponsorship fee $2,500
Pop Up MarketPlace – Held Summer in conjunction with Six to Sunset Concert Series
This event is for member businesses to participate in a shop fair/vendor style format that is to be held 3 times in the summer of 2018. The public is invited to attend which increases access and relationship building capacity within the community. The Pop Up event features 30 plus businesses which all work to showcase the shop local event and location. Sponsorship fees range from $500 to $3,000
Public Affairs Forums, Monthly Luncheons and Other Special Events
