Core Program and Services:
Battle Ground HealthCare (BGHC), a free clinic located in Battle Ground, Washington, opened in May 2011 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. BGHC provides chronic medical care, limited dental care, rehabilitation services (chiropractic, massage, occupational, physical and speech therapy), and a chronic pain course to clients in our service area (North Clark County, WA) between the ages of 18 and 65+ who are uninsured or under-insured with little or no income and at the 300% and under of the federal poverty level. North Clark County is designated a geographic primary care Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA), indicating that the entire population is identified as under-served and resources are considered over-utilized (January 2011, WA Dept. of Health -- Office of Community Health Systems). Our dedicated medical, dental and rehabilitation services volunteers have provided 3,868 client visits since opening and our community partnerships allow us to refer patients for mental health and vision services.
