About Us

The Humane Society for Southwest Washington supports the animals and families of our community. Each year, HSSW provides thousands of pets with shelter, medical care, behavior support, and a second chance for a happy home. We also support the animals of our community with programs like CHOW pet food assistance, wellness clinics for the pets of houseless families, spay and neuter clinics, and other programs that help keep families together.

We're more than the largest Adoption Center-Shelter in Southwest Washington, we also own and operate ReTails Thrift Store - the premiere Clark County thrifting experience! We believe in second chances - not only for pets, but for gently used home goods, clothing, books and much more. Every purchase and donation supports the dogs and cats.
