SCORE - Preparing for Year End Business Entity and Tax Seminar
This seminar answers why business record keeping is important and how you may be able to reduce business taxes before we approach calendar year end. We’ll also review various accounting methods that may best fit your situation and answer some of your questions about those pesky records themselves both manual and computerized, how long should they should be retained and things like “Do I really need a CPA, a bookkeeper or can I do it all effectively myself?”
We’ll also cover the pros and cons of business entity selection (Sole-Proprietorships, Partnerships, Corporations, and LLCs) and issues regarding taxation and the type of business formation you choose.
We’ll review the major business reports that make up a Financial Statement and how they relate to each other. We’ll also have a few in-class discussions and, along the way, cover some accounting terms and offer some special tax tips.
This seminar is being offered for FREE to the community by the generous sponsorship of the Friends of Longview Public Library. Seating is limited, so please access the button below to reserve your seat. SCORE Business mentors will be on hand following the meeting to discuss any specific questions you may have about your business concept or operations.
