Directions to PELA (Portland English Language Academy): The Portland English Language Academy (PELA) is located on the 3rd floor in the Lloyd Center, past the Food Court in the northwest corner. Guests can look for the Portland English Language Academy on any of the Lloyd Center directories. Parking is free. Enter the parking garage at NE 10th and Halsey St. Turn right and go up the spiral ramp in the corner of the parking garage all the way to the top roof deck (Floor 3). Park in DD or EE, and enter the Lloyd Center through the doors with burgundy tiles. PELA is located just inside on the right. Look for signs to Royalwise’s Classroom! Guests can call 503-226-1656 to reach the PELA office, or call Jamie at 503-504-6392.

Mac OS X Level 3 Class Description: This class is essential, and everyone should take it so that they’re using their computer effectively and efficiently! We’ll show you how to save files of all types in the right place every time! If your Desktop is covered with icons or your Documents folder is one long list of mysterious file names, we’ll clean up your computer, and create a Finder filing system that makes sense. Last but not least, we’ll show you 5 ways to find your files quickly and easily. The class will be recorded and saved in “My Class Recordings” for you to review at your convenience! Instructional Level: Beginner through Advanced Who should take this class? Macintosh users who want to stay organized, and be able to find important documents quickly. What should you bring? A Macintosh computer (optional). What You’ll Learn: Finder views: Icon, List, Column, and Cover Flow All My Files Creating folders and subfolders Moving files between folders Renaming files Saving files to your Documents folder Save as… vs. Duplicate Revert to older copies of a file Making subfolders on the fly Spotlight 5 easy ways to find files About Your Instructor: Jamie Pollock is a iPad and iPhone expert. A member of the Apple Consultants Network, he has taught hundreds of people how to use Apple technology to improve their quality of life.
