Humane Society for Southwest Washington Welcomes Two New Board Members With Deep Cowlitz County Roots

Longview, WA – The Humane Society for Southwest Washington (HSSW) is pleased to announce two new additions to its Board of Directors: Bill Hall, President of Wilcox + Flegel, and Terri Clary, a longtime Cowlitz County community leader and animal welfare advocate. Both are Cowlitz County residents, and their appointments reflect a growing partnership between HSSW and the communities it serves throughout Southwest Washington.

“Bill and Terri bring deep community roots, strong leadership and a shared commitment to animals and the people who love them,” said Andrea Bruno, HSSW President. “As we continue investing in services for Cowlitz County, it is essential that local voices help guide our work. Their experience, relationships and understanding of the community will strengthen our ability to respond to local needs, build lasting partnerships, and ensure animals and families throughout the region have access to the care and support they deserve.”

Bill Hall is President of Wilcox + Flegel, where he leads the company's strategic direction and growth while continuing its 100-year commitment to the Longview community. Throughout his career, Bill has combined business leadership with a strong dedication to community involvement, serving in leadership and board roles with a variety of educational, faith-based, and nonprofit organizations. Bill and his wife, Carol, have raised two daughters and share their home with Willow, a Great Dane who's become something of a fixture around the Wilcox + Flegel office. Bill's lifelong appreciation for the companionship animals bring to people's lives makes him especially excited to support HSSW's mission.

Terri Clary is a lifelong resident of Cowlitz County and a graduate of Kelso High School who went on to study at Lower Columbia College. Her history of service to animals in the community runs deep: she spent 22 years on the board of the Humane Society of Cowlitz County, where she started and chaired the organization's first Claws for Paws auction — an event that still thrives today. Terri has also given her time to the St. John's Hospital Guild and spent a decade as an active member of the Longview Junior Service League, where she remains a sustaining member. She and her husband raised their two sons in Cowlitz County and are grandparents to three, with a fourth on the way this October. Terri is honored to continue her lifelong commitment to animal welfare on HSSW's board, and says she's grateful to the Cowlitz County community, and to her family and friends, for their support along the way.
