April 29: Health Care Reform & Business Forum
sponsored by First Independent bank, The columbian, Legacy salmon creek hospital, kaiser permanente and southwest washington medical center
Our health care system is failing, and no one knows that better than businesses. As the costs of providing health benefits continue to rise relentlessly, many businesses are desperately looking for solutions. The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce has invited state experts in the health care reform arena to give us perspective on the reforms being researched in Washington on Tuesday, April 29, from 12 – 2 p.m. at The Hilton Vancouver.
Experts will include Bill Kramer, Kramer Health Care Consulting, Paul Guppy, vice president for research, Washington Policy Center and Representative Eileen Cody, D-West Seattle, who will each weigh in on heath care reform and the implications for our business, our employees and for us as individual consumers of health care.
From noon to 1 p.m., the experts will provide an overview of the scope of the problem and discuss reform options. From 1 to 2 p.m., small and large companies will breakout for roundtable discussion. Cost is $35 for members and $45 for non-members. Register online at www.vancouverusa.com or call 360-694-2588
