    • About

The Arc of SW WA works with, and on behalf of individuals experiencing an intellectual or developmental disability in the areas of housing, healthcare, education, and access to services and legislation. We do this through our core programs, ''Community Connections'' ''Supported Living'' services, ''Guardianship'' and ''Payee Services'' as well as, ''Respite Care.'' The Arc of SW Washington provides supports, services and opportunities for personal empowerment and choice to all persons with different abilities. We coordinate community networks, and relationships based on dignity, respect and inclusion. The Arc of SW Washington has been here in the Vancouver area since 1936 providing support, programs, services, and activities to all individuals with developmental disabilities. We believe in the inclusion and promotion of cultural connection and unlimited community participation for all persons regardless of disability status, and we are sensitive to the struggle that families and persons experiencing disabilities face. We are the advocates of direct policy, legislation, and civil rights for those in need. We are the collaborators that bring groups together, and we meet the needs of this population in a way that no other entity, public or private does.
